Proformasec specializes in fire safety, occupational health, and environmental safety. They needed a fire training solution that posed no risks to trainees while simulating their actual work environment.

Following a research phase to explore the state of the art in available technologies, we proposed using mixed reality (a fusion of virtual and real elements within the same environment).

We selected the HTC Vive headset and its trackers, which allow the localization of third-party objects in space. The headset was paired with a stereo camera, enabling users to see the external environment through the headset.

This setup makes it possible to simulate the start of a fire in any location. Fire extinguishers, also tracked and connected, allow users to respond to the fire without consuming extinguishing agents or risking damage to the location.

This innovative technology for fire safety training enables trainees to learn proper techniques in their own work environment.
